At Dunstable Downs:

  • Professor Miles Munch and his global lunch trail | 27 May – 4 June | 10am – 4pm | £2 per trail. Car park charges also apply, free for National Trust members.

Professor Miles Munch would like to find out where all his food comes from, can you help? The professor has a menu with six of his favourite meals; looking at the ingredients, can you find were they come from?

Be amazed at how far many of your favourite foods have travelled, crossing vast oceans to get to your dinner table or lunch box. Collect a food passport from our Docking Office and come and explore where your food comes from. Use our signposts and your trail map to discover food growing locations across the Downs and help Professor Munch reduce his food miles.

You’ll get a stamp in your passport for each growing region you visit. When your passport is full, come back to the Docking Office and plant a seed to grow at Dunstable Downs this summer as part of our Edible Courtyard. And we will show you how to turn your trail sheet into your very own usable plant pot – with a seed to take home and grow.
