Family favourites Full House Theatre will be bringing their free heritage events to Bedford’s museums this November. The fun-filled shows, ‘Bunyan Beats’ and ‘Museum Theatre’, will be live and interactive museum experiences unlike any other.
At ‘Bunyan Beats’ on Saturday 5th November, families will learn all about the colourful life and times of a world-renowned Bedfordian as raver, misbehaver and great-grandson of John Bunyan, DJ Johnny B, puts his own spin on history. With a zany toe-tapping remix using silent disco technology, DJ Johnny B will be sure to entertain and inform whilst bringing down the house.
Taking place on Saturday 12th November, ‘Museum Theatre’ will capture the extraordinary story of the Panacea Society. Through a live musical theatre promenade retelling, Full House will be bringing this fascinating story to life in the beautifully preserved buildings of the Panacea Museum. The performance will allow children and families a unique opportunity to explore the remarkable history of a female-led community that created their own Garden of Eden in the heart of our town.
Thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, these shows can be attended for free. As a thank you, Full House are offering a free hot drink to all National Lottery players when they attend a show - simply bring along your lottery ticket or scratch card to redeem at the Panacea Museum Café.
Harriet Hardie, Co-Creative Director at Full House Theatre said: “We want more children and families to have the opportunity to experience Bedford’s cultural quarter and we believe our innovative performance project will do just that”.
