Her Majesty the Queen is the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee and the National Trust will be commemorating the occasion with a variety of events across the bank holiday weekend, as well as celebrating their tree planting projects as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy.

At Dunstable Downs and the Whipsnade Estate, there will be several events taking place as part of the Trust’s Jubilee celebrations. On 2nd June, the Dunstable Downs’ beacon will be lit as part of a national parade of beacons, while other events will be held from 30th May onwards.

Families can explore a free short royal trail with activity stations across the Downs, while for £2, you can join in on all the Jubilee activities including a Royal Dig, adding to the Jubilee Wood and creating your own crowns.
