Originally scheduled for the 25th-27th June, the Great Balloon Race Extravaganza has now been postponed until 10th – 12th September.

Organisers made the decision because of concerns around the latest Covid variants. The new dates will feature the same line up as previously advertised and ticket holders have been contacted and reissued with new tickets. The organisers have said they will refund any ticket holders who are unable to make the new dates.

The extravaganza will feature the biggest hot air balloons in the UK, with up to 50 balloons of all shapes and sizes flying across the county before returning for a dazzling night glow display later in the evening accompanied by the Ibiza Classics Orchestra. The event will also feature a sky dance from a 100ft crane and a fire work display.

There will be a number of social distancing measures in place, including allocated plots, hand sanitisation stations around the venue, additional toilet facilities and a click and collect service for refreshments via an app.
