You might remember a few weeks ago Woburn Safari Park were on the hunt for inspiration to name the park's newest arrivals, some baby squirrel monkeys. Well, after being inundated with responses, they have now announced that the monkeys have been named.

The Animal Encounters team have chosen their three favourite names  from all the excellent suggestions. Squirrel monkeys originate from South America so keepers asked for South American-themed names for the new additions. There were plenty that didn't fit the theme, and some really great options to choose from.

THE WINNERS ARE...

Mum Tye's baby has been named Willow by winner Claire Inns
Bamboo's baby has been named Acorn by winner Leanne Ross
...and Ringo's baby has been named Pablo by winner Eliska Tothova

Congratulations to all the winners, who'll each receive a prize of a one hour Up Close Encounter VIP Experience with an animal of their choice (from list of options), plus the chance to visit the squirrel monkey troop at a future date.

Currently the park is closed due to the unprecedented situation of COVID-19. Telephone lines are not being monitored, however visitors are welcome to email info@woburnsafari.co.uk. This email address is being monitored and the team aims to get in touch with anyone with queries as soon as possible.

Any VIP Experiences due to be taken in the next few weeks will be scheduled for a later date in the year. Annual passes will also be extended once the Park has reopened. Any visitors requiring refunds on tickets already purchased, please email info@woburnsafari.co.uk with your ticket information. Please allow 7-10 days for your refund to be processed.
