Why not escape the city this half term and spend some time exploring the glorious countryside in Bedfordshire? There are plenty of fun events taking place all over the county during February half term and we’ve put together a few of them to help inspire you!

On February 16th at Shuttleworth you can attend the tenth annual scale model exhibition, where you can find a number of interesting things to look at and get involved with the annual awards. Plus, with all the fun things to see and do as part of the Shuttleworth Collection, you’ll have more than enough to keep you entertained for the whole day. Alternatively, the house is open for tours, find out more here.

If you’re in the Bedford area and are musically inclined, head to the Bedford Corn Exchange and join in with the Olympic Spirit Family Concert. It’s sure to get you in the spirit for the upcoming Olympic games.

For something to really help the kids get immersed and have some fun, go to an interactive storytelling show at Wardown Park Museum, FebFest: Trunk Tales really helps unleash the imagination of the kids and they’re invited to get involved and become part of the scenery!
