The county of Bedfordshire has lots of pretty and romantic places to spend Valentine’s Day, so we’ve put together a few suggestions for you of places around the county that you can take your loved one. Dates don’t have to be expensive or complicated in order to be fun and impress your partner and these ideas won’t break the bank but will hopefully provide a great time for everyone involved!

Pack a picnic

As February is the month where new shoots start appearing and the days start lasting a little longer, make the most of being out in the open by packing up a picnic filled with a few treats (you could grab a bottle of wine or champagne!) and spend the day in one of the parks or out in the wilds on Dunstable Downs. The views at Dunstable Downs are among the best in the county, alternatively, there are several parks and gardens you can enjoy or go somewhere like the ruins at Houghton House for the atmosphere.

Go out for dinner

There are plenty of luxury hotels and restaurants in the county for you to have a romantic experience together. Why not take a look at what is on offer at Luton Hoo or the Woburn Hotel? Make sure to book in advance though, they fill up quickly!

Take a stroll in the countryside

The entire county is surrounded by beautiful countryside for you to enjoy and it doesn’t matter where in Bedfordshire you are, you’ll find some greenery to explore. Head to Marston Vale Forest Centre or one of the many country parks and lose yourself for a few hours.

Visit a spa

There are some amazing spas in this part of the UK for you to choose from. Choose from a host of treatments or try out a sauna or steam room. As it is Valentine’s Day, you’ll find that there will be a number of special offers on for you to try!
