Best known for working out sums in her head on Countdown, Carol Vorderman is a staple when it comes to British TV, but did you know that she was born in Bedford? Well, now you do!

Neil Jackson
You might recognise the name from Blade: The Series or the Bond film Quantum of Solace, but others might remember him from the town of Luton where he was born and grew up.

Stacey Dooley

Probably best known for her journalist skills on a series of documentaries on the BBC, she’s also known as being the winner of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 and is now an MBE! You might not know that she was actually born and raised in Luton.

Tom Grennan
Moving away from TV, Bedfordshire is home to chart toppers too, including Tom Grennan who was born in Bedford. His debut album is hugely popular and his vocals have appeared on adverts, games and he’s guested on artists such as Chase and Status’ music.

Emily Atack

She’s the daughter of actress Kate Robbins and musician Keith Atack but Emily is a star in her own right, staring in the Inbetweeners and coming second to Harry Redknapp in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. She’s also from Luton, so the town is clearly a hot bed of talent.

Yes, Faye from Steps is from Bedfordshire, Dunstable to be exact. Aside from being one of the most popular acts of the nineties, Faye has also made a name for herself in theatre appearing in a number of musicals and theatre productions both here and in America.
