We’ve been guaranteed a warm and sunny Easter weekend this year, so why not grab the kids and head out and about to explore some of the events and activities that are being hosted around Bedfordshire this Easter break?
There are a great selection of fun things to do for all the family, so make sure to add these events to your diary!

For those of you who want to experience a Safari without having to rove too far from home, be sure to head to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo in Dunstable. Starting at the beginning of April and going all the way through until June, the team at the Zoo are hosting the Great Brick Safari, perfect for any little ones who are into animals and Lego! This is a perfect way to spend the Easter break for the whole family.

At Jordan’s Mill in Biggleswade, a woodland Trail is taking place from 6th – 22nd April. Join Kit the Squirrel on a tour of the woodland by picking up a trail sheet from the shop and following the map around the grounds learning about the baby animals that can be found in the area.

If you wanted to take part in one of the hugely popular Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts, head to Dunstable Downs to join in. Wrest Park is another venue holding Easter themed events. Running until 22nd April, Wrest Park has their Adventure Quest where you can join in the hunt for legendary dragon eggs, anyone who manages to crack the codes and find an egg will get a prize, so it’s well worth the trip!

If you’d rather find Easter Eggs than dragon eggs, Moggerhanger Park is the place to be, anyone who visits between the 6th and 22nd April has the chance to join in the Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds. Those that manage to complete the trail sheets get a little chocolate treat when they finish.

Perhaps you’d rather limit the chocolate intake of the smaller members of your family, if that’s the case, head to Watergate Farm in Leighton Buzzard instead. The farm are holding a Lambing opening weekend every weekend leading up to Easter where you can meet the newborn lambs and ride tractors as well as play on bouncy castles and enjoy the play areas. Mead Open Farm is also opening their gates this Easter with the Easter Wizard of Oz adventure. Visitors can join Dorothy and her friends on the Yellow Brick Road through the land of Oz with lots of cute baby animals and entertaining shows along the way!

There are loads of fun things to do all over the county this Easter, so be sure to check our What’s On pages for a full list of events.
