Join professional watercolour artist Nicky Hunter for a relaxing and inspiring day of painting, capturing the charm and colour of goldfinches among autumn teasels. This beautiful, light-filled subject is full of warmth and texture — perfect for exploring expressive brushwork and loosening up your painting style.

Nicky will provide step-by-step guidance, including demonstrations, practical tips, and plenty of one-to-one support, helping participants build confidence and enjoy painting more freely.

This workshop offers a gentler pace than some of Nicky's other sessions, making it ideal for those who are new to watercolour or returning to painting after a break. More experienced artists will also find it a wonderful opportunity to develop their personal style and create two or three lively, expressive paintings to take home.

Nicky Hunter is a professional watercolour artist and tutor who teaches workshops, residential painting holidays, and art society demonstrations across the UK. Her approach combines traditional techniques with a loose, contemporary style, always aiming to help students grow in skill, confidence, and creative expression within a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

She also runs regular workshops at Westbury Arts Centre (Milton Keynes), Yardley Arts (Northamptonshire), and other venues throughout Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
