Luton History on the Page

About

As part of this year's Local & Community History Month, local historian Howard Chandler will be delivering a talk based on books written about Luton and by Lutonians!

Howard has read, and reread, at least 80 books about Luton in the course of his local history research. In this talk he will take us through, and read from, some of the most interesting ones, with some biographical details of the authors who have contributed to our knowledge of different aspects of our town. Whether you want to know more about a particular trade carried out in the town, a specific geographic area, shops, schools, churches, or the town in times of war or peace, this is an opportunity to hear about books, old and new, that will enlighten you.

Age guidance: 16+
