Join in our HATCH workshops with established artists to learn new skills, creative techniques, and make your own art.

To draw we need to learn how to 'see', to do this we need to understand the five perceptual skills of drawing" - Betty Edwards, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.

A drawing course to explore key principles and techniques to increase your confidence, in drawing. This course encourages experimenting and practice of key approaches to help people develop and apply drawing techniques.

Week 1 - Learning how to look, as an artist does - discovering Line and Edges

Week 2 - Positive Shape / Negative Space / Shared boundaries

Week 3 - Perspective / Measuring / Proportion / Relationships

Week 4 - Light and Shadows Learning to see and distinguish different light and shadow values. .

Week 5 - The Gestalt or the Whole - Bringing it together

£60 for 5 week course
Runs on Tuesdays from 11am - 12:30pm
