While you would be right in thinking that there are a range of annual events, like firework displays, Christmas themed activities, Pride and more, there are also a number of events that are totally unique to Bedfordshire, like Bedford’s annual River Festival and the hotly anticipated Luton Carnival, the largest one-day carnival in the UK, the next largest carnival event is the famous Nottinghill Carnival in London. Every year you’ll find the nation’s National Trust properties take part in the annual Cadbury Easter Egg hunt, plus other fun events at some of the top attractions in the region.
There are also a range of family friendly activities that aren’t to be missed, as well as events that are free to attend for anyone who is on a budget. Be sure to keep an eye on our events pages during school holidays to see what extra events and activities are being hosted to keep the little ones entertained.
