We are celebrating Italy's enormous contribution to music: from Palestrina to a specially-commissioned new work by Valentina Ciardelli, from opera favourites to cool Italian jazz. But Italy's contribution both to culture and, especially to Bedford, is much wider and we will be marking that with films, talks and educational events for school children.
Bella Ciao! runs from 15-27 April at venues across the town and artists include I Fagiolini, Florilegium, I Musicanti, Royal College of Music plus a host of local talent and well-known speakers such as Ivan Hewett and Barbara Gentili.
