The University of Bedfordshire is excited to announce naturalist, author and broadcaster Chris Packham CBE as host of our latest 'An Evening With' public lecture on Tuesday 31 January 2023, delivering a talk titled 'Sustainability: Surviving The Next 20 Years.'

As a well-known presenter and nature campaigner, Chris has fronted many television programmes since the beginning of his broadcasting career back in 1986, including the BAFTA award-winning Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch series.
He is also a critically acclaimed author and was awarded a CBE for his services to wildlife and nature conservation in 2019.
This intriguing lecture will look at what steps everyone can take individually and collectively to live a more sustainable lifestyle to help heal the planet from the devastating effects of climate change.

This lecture will explore what steps we can take to live a more sustainable lifestyle and help fight climate change and the impact this has on our wildlife and natural world. It will examine what we can do right now to secure the future of our planet and wildlife over the coming decades.
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges currently facing the planet and there's never been a more important time to do all we can to help combat the devastating effects of this. Living more sustainably means taking actions in your daily life to reduce your environmental impact, such as reducing plastic use and adopting a more plant-based diet.
