Leighton Buzzard Market

About

The market, at the centre of Leighton Buzzard, is both an historic and modern feature of our town.

Named in the Domesday Book of 1086, Leighton Buzzard had the biggest market in Bedfordshire and was owned by the King. It was a traditional market where livestock, grown produce and made products were traded with farmers and producers travelling in from the surrounding areas.

Today, Leighton Buzzard has a bustling, modern twice-weekly market at the heart of the vibrant High Street.

We invite you to shop Leighton Buzzard Market on Tuesdays & Saturdays

The market offers a great opportunity to shop in an open-air setting every Tuesday & Saturday.

You will find variety and value at Leighton Buzzard Market, with traders offering classic market staples such as fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, plants and cut flowers through to books, shoes, clothing, and food.

Our High Street offers the perfect location for meeting with friends or spending some time with family. Complemented by our independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs offering dine in or take out options, there are also award-winning open green spaces just a stone’s throw away.

LB Market welcomes visiting markets throughout the year, as well as regular speciality markets.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
