SSG Training are a long established provider of Training and Activities based in Bedford. We offer pathways and alternative provision for 16 – 18-year-olds including, wellbeing courses, skills academy, sports coaching, Traineeships and apprenticeships,

Furthermore, we have adult learning courses in a wide range of different areas these include; employability, well-being, hospitality, English and Maths and sector based work academies for warehouse workers, health and social care and business administration.

We offer CPD (Continuous Professional Development) training which can be conducted virtually in conflict management, leading and motivating a team, organising and delegating, performance management, planning and allocating work, solving problems and making decisions, stress management, understanding leadership, COSHH risk assessment, Display Screen Equipment risk assessment, fire safety principles, manual handling safety at work, prevention and control of infection, GDPR, Personal money management, Rights and Responsibilities, Understanding equality and diversity, principles of internet safety, safeguarding adults and children, exploring the principles of healthy eating, principles of weight management, understanding the principles of exercise.  

First Aid training including the following accredited courses including;

Emergency First Aid at Work ( 6 hours ) If your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only is sufficient for your workplace, this one day course will help you meet your regulatory requirements.

First Aid at Work ( 18 hours ) The first aid at work course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most work places to become a confident first aider at work. Giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with health and safety-first aid regulations.
AED instructors’ course ( 3 hours ) – automated electronic device aimed at anyone required to have AED usage, a growing need with more and more units being avalible on sites. The prompt usage of AED machines in emergencies makes this course the obvious choice to complete once first aid trained.

We have a purpose-built training centre at our base in Bedford close to Bedford train station and accessible via bus as well. Rooms at the centre are available for hire for events, meetings and conferences. There are 6 rooms which we hire out with in the centre with suggested seating capacity of 10 -20 people per room. Allowing multiple rooms to be in use to hold different talks during your event/ conference. Ranging from £15 to £20 per hour for hire.

All of our rooms come with WIFI, Chairs/Tables, White board and Pens and Tea & Coffee facilities.

In addition to room hire we also host corporate team building days which can take a number of different themes and have a great range of activities. All of our group activity days for adults are mobile - we can come to you or arrange a suitable venue for you. All of our activity day bookings include the following;
