About

Woburn Abbey and the surrounding Estate provide a stunning backdrop and historical setting for Woburn Golf Club. Whilst the Club is quiet and secluded, it is centrally located just 10 minutes from Junction 13 off the M1, 15 minutes from Central Milton Keynes and just over an hour from London, Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge.

Home to the Duke's, Duchess and Marquess courses, Woburn was the first 54 hole venue to have all three courses featured in Golf Monthly Magazine's Top 100 Courses in the UK and Ireland and Golf World Magazine's Top 100 Courses in Great Britain and Ireland.

Since hosting the Dunlop British Masters in 1979, sixty professional tournaments have been played over the three courses, including two major championships, the first of which was the Ricoh Women’s British Open in 2016, won by Ariya Jutanugarn.  The Women’s British Open returned to Woburn in 2019 with AIG as title sponsors and was won by Hinako Shibuno.

Ian Poulter has represented Woburn as Tournament Professional since 2003 and in 2015 hosted the British Masters, supported by Sky Sports, this was played on the Marquess course and was won by Matt Fitzpatrick.  The Club has also enjoyed a long association with Charley Hull who joined Woburn as a junior member in 2007.

The role of honour reads like a who’s who of world golf with ten former winners who are members of the World Golf Hall of Fame: Seve Ballesteros, Dame Laura Davies, Sir Nick Faldo, Sandy Lyle, Colin Montgomerie, Greg Norman, Patty Sheehan, Lee Trevino, Karrie Webb and Ian Woosnam.  There are also major winners with Ariya Jutanugarn, Justin Rose, Hinako Shibuno and Henrik Stenson.

Woburn Golf Club continues to host prestigious events and tournaments and with excellent catering and hospitality it is the ideal venue for corporate, group or society golf days.  Woburn welcomes non-members, subject to prior arrangement, offering mid-week green fee packages for individual golfers and parties of all sizes.
