Warm Up for the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch.

About

The RSPB's annual Big Garden Birdwatch will be held over three days (January 26th, 27th and 28th) again this January, and we are taking part in our own survey at The Lodge during the weekend for the biggest event in the RSPB calendar.

Wrap up snugly and join our friendly RSPB staff and volunteers to get useful tips on identifying the birds coming to the feeders, information on the Big Garden Birdwatch survey, giving nature a home and feeding your garden birds.

Join a guided walk setting off at intervals throughout the event to search for the birds that spend the winter on the reserve. How many birds and other animals can we add the day list for the survey?

Children can help us clean our feeders and top them up with seed and suet, and can also get mucky hands by making fat balls to take home to feed their own garden birds

While you are here, stock up your RSPB bird food ready for the following weekend's survey and take a look at our range of binoculars and telescopes.

A range of hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks are available from the RSPB shop.

Donations welcome on the day, small charge for badge making, fat balls and guided walks.

Booking not required.
