In preparation for the Olympics, come and see out up and coming athletes at the fantastic Inter-county Championship at Bedford’s International Athletics Stadium, on the 30 May. www.athleticstadium.bedford.gov.uk

Come and enjoy Luton International Carnival – the biggest one-day carnival in Britan on the 31st May – www.lutonartsandevents.com
The town centre is set to come alive with spectacular colourful costumes, music from around the globe, street entertainers, and international food to tickle your taste buds. So join in the fun on Bank Holiday Monday, 31 May 2010, from 12 noon until 7pm.
….or on 5 June Russell Park in Bedford hosts a riot of colour with Bedford international Kite Festival – enjoy the stalls, competitions, sights and sounds as these works or art take to the sky. www.bedfordevents.co.uk
As in previous festivals the 2010 event will showcase kites from the four corners of the globe including America, Canada, Japan, China, Germany, France Holland and Belgium as well as the best flyers from across the UK
Alongside the various demonstrations in the arena will be a whole host of other attractions, food and drink, entertainment, music and kite stalls specialising in kite equipment, clothes and other accessories. Opening times for the festival are from 10am both days to 6pm on Saturday and a 5pm on Sunday
