About

We have two barn conversions, one in a four bedroomed cottage, the other into three smaller cottages, arranged in a courtyard setting. Our self catering accommodation has been awarded 4 stars for quality by Visit Britain. The cottages are available to book for a large family gathering or equally a quiet, romantic getaway for two.

All of the cottages are set on one level with polished hardwood flooring throughout. All have an outdoor enclosed fenced area to relax in.

Acorn - Our largest cottage is equipped to a very high standard. It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, one of which is equipped to M2 standard for those less able. Three of the bedrooms have double beds and one has two single beds. Three of the bedrooms are en-suite.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer, cooker and radio. The kitchen/diner and living room are all open plan giving a large area for the family to spend their time together. The living room is connected to Freeview TV and has a video player.

Acorn has an enclosed area at the back looking into the farmyard (no animals apart from the farm cats and a few tractors). All towels and linens are included in the price as is the heating. All you need to bring is yourselves and your food!

There are many attractions close by: Old Warden is a beautiful little village which boasts the Shuttleworth Collection, the Bird of Prey Centre and The Swiss Garden, also The Hare and Hounds pub for an excellent meal. We also have the Butterfly Park, The Imperial War Museum at Duxford and the RSPB Headquarters at Sandy, Wimpole Hall, Woburn Safari Park and Abbey, Cecil Higgins Art Gallery in Bedford, Thurleigh Farm and Adventure Playground, Wrest Park for historical re-enactments, The Glenn Miller museum and for a leisurely walk why not go to Priory Country Park. If shopping is your thing, Milton Keynes is 30 minutes away as is the historical Cambridge with its colleges, universities and shops. Also Ampthill with its antique shops.

If a holiday also means no cooking, we can recommend some good pubs in the area.
